The string trio tiefsaits performs to the silent movie "Berlin. Die Sinfonie der Großstadt" by Walther Ruttmann, a film about Berlin in the 1920s. Bach's "Goldberg Variations" are played in a flexible approach to tempo and time, so that timeless questions about our perception of time are explored in conjunction with the film.

Film "Berlin. Die Sinfonie der Großstadt" (Walther Ruttmann, Berlin 1927) as well as music by Domenico Gabrielli, Johann Sebastian Bach and literary quotations from Franz Hessel's "Spazieren in Berlin" (1929) and Kurt Tucholsky's "Augen in der Großstadt" (1930) as well as a world premiere by Friedemann Stolte.
