Die Reise von Fräulein Maus: Eine musikalische Lesung mit anschließendem Austausch

In the organizer's words:

The story will be read from "Die Reise von Fräulein Maus", a poetic picture book about emotional highs and lows - told in a child-friendly, loving and highly symbolic way. The live music brings the story to life - sometimes quietly, sometimes full of verve. Various instruments are used, including the mysteriously floating theremin, which gives wings to the imagination.

"The Journey of Miss Mouse" is the story of a little mouse with pink dots on her fur - dots that show how she is doing. One day she leaves her familiar Mittenhausen and flies out into a world full of color, speed and flights of fancy. The more dots she wears, the livelier, braver and more exuberant she becomes - until life becomes too fast and she tips over into the opposite: into a place full of cold, darkness and exhaustion. But Miss Mouse is not alone. On her journey, she encounters beings who listen, understand and help her to come closer to herself again.

With child-friendly symbolism, loving pictures and gentle language, the book tells of the emotional ups and downs that many children experience - or observe in their parents' behavior. It makes feelings visible, invites empathy and opens up educational and therapeutic spaces for conversations that are otherwise difficult to start.

A poetic journey to inner balance - for children, parents, relatives and professionals.

The original pictures from the book will be exhibited as part of the musical reading.

Afterwards, we invite you to an open discussion - together with the artists and child and adolescent psychiatrist Andrea Pietschman.
"This wonderful book helps children, young people and their parents to understand the difficult topic of bipolar disorders in a playful way." - Nathalie Feldmann, child and adolescent psychotherapist

Eléonore Vanoli, born in 1984 in southern Germany, writes children's books with heart, humor and a keen sense of what happens between the lines. Her animal protagonists experience adventures, write letters and quietly deal with big themes such as friendship, courage and emotional balance. After studying education in Bamberg, she moved to Hamburg and worked in the psychosocial field for many years. Along the way, she wrote her first stories - imaginative, emotional and with a touch of humor - which are now finding their way to readers young and old. She has been living, working and writing in Berlin since 2018.

Kerstin Kaernbach is a violinist and multi-instrumentalist - from flute and singing saw to theremin. She toured the globe with the 17 Hippies for many years and now plays with Lüül, among others. As a theater musician, she has been involved in the IMPRO-Visionen series and FILM RISS THEATER, which has been developing new multimedia object theater formats with improvisation and walk-in images since 2017. In 2022, she composed and performed the music live for the circus theater production AUFLEUCHTEN. Since 2014 she is also co-owner of the bookstore paul+paula in Victoriastadt, Berlin-Lichtenberg
