Many people have dreamed of a perfect and citizen-friendly administration. For people with disabilities and special needs, dealing with the authorities is a particular challenge. The inclusive ensemble from Theater Thikwa embarks on a furious musical ride through the world of bureaucracy with the musical theater combo glanz&krawall and band accompaniment.

In this administrative fantasy between dream and nightmare, the audience encounters well-known clichés, hurdles and advantages of administration, which are humorously and entertainingly taken for a ride. The issuing of humility (Rejected!) and beloved ritual team rounds are collectively choreographed and sung about in rousing songs. Stamps are swung and the staple tap is danced. Of course, everything has to be in order, and that starts with using the correct coffee cup. Woe betide any new colleagues who disrupt the established routine. However, there is also a threat of unrest from another quarter: the bureaucracy is a thorn in the side of right-wing libertarian politicians. They want less government, lower costs and more efficiency. But what about the utopian promise of bureaucracy to create the same rules for everyone and prevent arbitrary rule? Will the bags from the administration save the day?

glanz&krawall are a Berlin (music) theater group led by director Marielle Sterra and dramaturge Dennis Depta. In their works, they bring the urban space into the theater or their theater into the urban space. They work with amateurs and professionals and develop their play texts together with them in the rehearsal process. At Theater Thikwa , artists with and without disabilities perform theater together without shying away from experimentation - in their own venue in Berlin and in guest performances around the world.
