Die Welt der Musik auf Banknoten - ein visuelles Konzert

In the organizer's words:

The combination of money, music and art seems unusual at first glance, but it opens up a fascinating world: we encounter "music" as a central motif on banknotes across national borders and eras. The exhibition shows selected examples and is accompanied by macro photographs by Pete Jones and screen prints by Heidi Specker.

The banknote collection of the Giesecke+Devrient Foundation presents around 50 banknotes that invite visitors on a journey of discovery through sounds, cultural heritage and national identity. Similar to an orchestra in which different instruments work together in harmony, the banknotes are divided into five thematic areas to highlight different aspects of their content.
