A filmmaker begins a project to celebrate her partner's triumph over a terminal illness - only to find that the focus increasingly turns to herself and the breakdown of their relationship.

After Blaž survives the diagnosis of a terminal illness, he undertakes his own, energy-sapping Giro d'Italia to celebrate his victory. He is accompanied by his partner, filmmaker Maja Doroteja Prelog. She is to document the triumphant bike ride. What was originally planned as a ride from the Dolomites to Sicily, and was supposed to show an act of self-empowerment, soon turns into the couple's journey to themselves. The focus shifts and Maja's camera increasingly focuses on her perception and her needs. The couple's relationship slowly unravels right in front of the camera lens - and we witness a courageous confrontation with the self and the question of what it really means to be together.

Cent'anni is an emotional rollercoaster ride full of touching confessions and poetic images in the midst of breathtaking natural landscapes - an unfiltered testimony of love and change.

The debut film by Slovenian director Maja Doroteja Prelog (*1988) has been shown at numerous international film festivals, for example in Sarajevo, Los Angeles and Cannes, and has received several awards, including the Audience Award for Best Film at the Trieste Film Festival and the Docs-in-Progress Award for Best Documentary at Cannes Docs.
