Dorffest Harpen

In Harpen, it's not called a funfair or village fair, but a funfair and village fair. The popular mix of funfair and district festival has a long tradition. The fairground magic begins on Friday, August 21, and runs until Monday, August 24. Around 30 rides, games and food stalls ensure a well-filled fairground landscape every day from 2 pm. The event area stretches from St. Vinzentius Church via Kattenstraße to Lütkendorpweg. The village fair showcases the traditional history of the district. For example, a farmer's theater recalls the historical granting of market rights for a cattle and stall market in Harpen. The high level of commitment of those involved gives the festival a unique character and charm. The Harpener Kirmes is organized jointly by Bochum Marketing GmbH, the Förderverein Harpen e. V. and the Bochum-Nord district council.
