In many churches, there are anti-Jewish artifacts that pose questions about the relationship between Judaism and Christianity in the past and present. In Cologne in particular, where Jewish life has been documented for over 1700 years, there are several initiatives: the important book "Cologne Cathedral and the Jews" and the "Cologne Cathedral art competition on Christian-Jewish relations today".

Wolfgang Bußler is on the board of the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation in Mönchengladbach and on the board of the Association for Christian Art in the Archdiocese of Cologne and the Diocese of Aachen.
