In the organizer's words:

"Love in Berlin" is the motto of the Long Night of Museums on Saturday, August 30. We will be there and invite you to join us in celebrating the diversity of bodies, genders and identities : in artistic actions, interventions and workshops , we will open up spaces full of love on this evening - including drag performances by Olympia Bukkakis and Dick & Danger, a writing workshop with historical love letters from our collection and spiritual sessions with Dina Hegazi. We welcome children and families to our creative workshops on the theme of love, as well as guided tours of our permanent exhibition and the special exhibition NACHRICHTEN - NEWS.

We look forward to a Long Night full of encounters, inspiration and shared experiences. Because: Love connects!

In short exercises, participants will be guided by poet Birgit Kreipe to write love letters or love poems - trying out different forms and exercises together. Selected poems by Friederike Mayröcker and Ernst Jandl serve as inspiration - as well as love letters from the collection of the Museum of Communication: from field letters to letters in divided Germany, everything is included. / In short writing exercises, poet Birgit Kreipe guides participants in creating love letters or love poems. Together, you'll explore different forms and playful approaches to expressing love through words. Selected poems by Friederike Mayröcker and Ernst Jandl serve as inspiration, as well as love letters from the collection of the Museum of Communication: from wartime letters to letters written in divided Germany, a wide range is included.
