Ein Abschiedsabend für Gert Thumser: Für immer eure Puppe

We bid a fond farewell to Gert Thumser (28.07.1958 - 16.01.2026) - pianist, actor, arranger and composer, whose versatility and subtle, dark humor shaped the BKA Theater and the queer Berlin stage landscape for decades.

At the BKA Theater, he was also repeatedly featured in productions by the Ades Zabel Company.

Many also remember him from television - including as a guest on the legendary "Conny Show", where his dream of TV stardom seemed within reach. Above all, however, he remains unforgotten as Paula Frantz-Kuhn: the tragicomic, bear-faced Franconian pianist who won hearts with wit, force and great longing - for example in his solo recital "Gott vergibt - Paula nie!".

In addition to the stage, Gert was an outstanding composer: musically powerful and tender, with cinematic breadth - and for many years a congenial partner and musical backbone of numerous productions, including alongside Cora Frost.

An evening of remembrance pays tribute to the life, characters and music of this exceptional artist.
