A Friday afternoon in the staff room - a desperate father unceremoniously locks six teachers in the staff room - armed with the demand not to ruin his son's Abitur and thus his future because of a missing grade point.

What follows is less a pedagogical discussion and more an emotional survival training session. Between coffee machines, old exams and pedagogical principles, the teachers clash - and above all with each other. Soon not only arguments but also masks are flying: the idealist becomes cynical, the cynic moral, and someone is guaranteed to cry into the filter bag.

Jan Weiler serves up a biting comedy about education, vanity and the madness behind the blackboard - a chamber play that proves it: The real drama doesn't take place in the classroom, but among the adults who think they have everything under control.
