Elias Störr Trio – Jazz

The Elias Störr Trio explores the symbiosis of classical-romantic music and jazz. Together with Heinrich Eißmann on drums and Loreen Sima on bass, the trio takes its listeners on a journey full of catchy melodies, lively improvisations and dramatic twists and turns.

The trio was founded at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden. It was there that pianist Elias Störr, drummer Heinrich Eißmann and bassist Loreen Sima came together during their bachelor studies and quickly developed a common musical language. The artistic signature of the trio is characterized by Störr's compositions - the ensemble's pieces were written by him.

Elias Störr grew up in Vogtland and received a comprehensive classical piano education before studying jazz piano in Dresden. The combination of these two musical worlds still characterizes his compositions today. After completing his bachelor's degree, he moved to Cologne, where he is currently studying for a master's degree in composition at the Cologne University of Music and Dance.

Despite their different places of residence - Heinrich Eißmann lives in Leipzig, Loreen Sima in Munich - the trio remains closely connected. In addition to their work in this ensemble, all three musicians are active in other projects and have already received various awards, including nominations for the German Jazz Prize and winning the Sparda Jazz Award Düsseldorf.
