Entkörpert - Ausstellung

In the organizer's words:

Under the title ENTKÖRPERT, trans artists bring together different perspectives on the body, identity and the processes of becoming. The exhibition sees itself as a self-determined platform in which trans people formulate their own narratives and make them visible, free from external attributions, projections or traditional expectations.

The focus is on the body as a place of change, resistance and transformation. The works on display explore deconstruction, self-discovery, dysphoria, healing, vulnerability and empowerment. In installations, photography, paintings, drawings and music, processes of transformation are made tangible and personal and collective experiences are reflected upon.

With Entkörpert, we want to open up a safe space that gives trans people the opportunity to address emotional and intimate issues and to find each other in their stories. The exhibition sees itself as a counter-design to the gaze of others and consciously places the discourse on trans bodies in the hands of those who live it.

The aim is to strengthen visibility, expand representation and create places where trans realities of life can not only be depicted, but actively shaped. The exhibition invites us to rethink the body: as a process, as a fragment, as an open territory that eludes, transforms and constantly retells itself.
