Esther Becker "Emergency Contacts"
+ "Verbrecher Verlag history"
+ 30 years of Verbrecher Verlag anniversary party
Book premiere: Esther Becker "Emergency Contacts". In conversation with Anke Stelling
A woman breaks up. At last. Another pees in the snow. Black holes open up, lifebuoys disappear. Teeth and hearts break. People lose their composure in parking lots, bars or hospitals. In "Emergency Contacts", Esther Becker tells the stories of people in strange, hurtful or seemingly hopeless situations. As an accomplice to her characters, she illuminates their lives with empathy. Becker's tone is thoughtful, but always light and full of humor.
followed by a book launch: "Verbrecher Verlag Geschichte"
With the co-editors Kristine Listau and Jörg Sundermeier
When the first book was published by Verbrecher Verlag in 1995, two things were clear: firstly, this was no ordinary publishing house. Secondly, it would not become an ordinary publishing house. And that's exactly what happened! The publishing house has been writing history for 30 years, but its story has not yet been written. Now it is available under the title "Verbrecher Verlag Geschichte" (by Alex Bachler, Kristine Listau, Johanna Seyfried, Jörg Sundermeier and Nina Wehner).
Party afterwards: 30 years of Verbrecher Verlag anniversary party
DJs Imran Ayata and Maurice Summen. Bar service by authors of Verbrecher Verlag
Finally, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Verbrecher Verlag. There will be a champagne reception and DJs Imran Ayata and Maurice Summen will be playing in the cellar. Verbrecher authors will be serving you at the bar, including Philipp Böhm, Dilek Güngör, Andreas Rüttenauer, Lorena Simmel, David Wagner and Frank Witzel, who will also be happy to sign one of their books for you. There will be smoking in the courtyard, drinking at the bar and dancing next to it. We have to imagine the criminals as happy people.
