Explain Colours emerged from a DIY project in Münster in 2023 and developed into a unique sound that the band themselves call 2080s pop: nostalgic synthesizers straight from the 80s, combined with modern pop production and uninhibited festival energy.

Hannes and Malte bring their musical diversity to danceable disco beats and dreamy soundscapes, while Robin shapes the sound with catchy pop melodies and emotional hooks.
Songs like Dance Police stand for their attitude: If you don't own the cringe, the cringe owns you - shame out, euphoria in.

On stage, Explain Colours are all about breaking out together with the audience and celebrating every show like the best time of our lives.
