Shelley Hirsch (New York) is "an unorthodox, extraordinary fusion of singer, composer and performance artist" (Anne LeBaron) whose work includes narrative pieces, staged performances, compositions, improvisations, collaborations, installations and radio plays that have been presented on five continents. She has given hundreds of concerts of improvised music with musicians such as Anthony Coleman, Christian Marclay, Ikue Mori, Toshio Kajiwara, Hans Reichel, Min Xiao Fen, Paul Lovens, DJ Olive, Joey Baron, Marc Ribot, Butch Morris, Elliot Sharp etc.. She has recorded for labels such as Tzadik, No Mans Land, Apollo, Innocence Records, FMP etc., with John Zorn, David Weinstein, Nicolas Collins, Jon Rose, Sven Ake Johannson, Alexander von Schlippenbach, Jin Hi Kim and many others.

Turntablist Joke Lanz (Berlin) creates autonomous sound cells that merge into a functionless language. He combines ritualistic reductionism with anarchistic playfulness, atmospheric soundscapes with cut-up noise and physicality with unpredictability. Joke Lanz has released his work on some of the most prominent record labels of the noise underground, including RRR, Schimpfluch, Tochnit Aleph, Blossoming Noise, Entr'acte, Artware, SSSM, Klanggalerie, Some Bizarre, iDeal Rec, Harbinger Sound, Voodoo Rhythm Records and has performed with artists such as Peter Kowald, Christian Marclay, Sophie Agnel, Ute Wassermann, Rudolf Eb. er, Z'EV, Carlos Giffoni, Daniel Menche, Mette Rasmussen, Dieb13, Martin Tetreault, Astro, The New Blockaders, GX Jupitter-Larsen, Lasse Marhaug and many others.

Joke Lanz is best known for his internationally acclaimed noise project 'Sudden Infant', with which he has been presenting his work around the world for 30 years.
