Fiesta de Día de Muertos: Schließung der Ofrenda

In the organizer's words:

The ofrenda, an exuberantly decorated altar measuring around 40 square meters, is the focal point of the Mexican festival of the dead. After the ceremonial opening, it is decorated with flowers, candles, handicrafts, fruit, cakes, sweets, lemonade, schnapps, cigarettes - gifts for the deceased. As a visitor, you are also welcome to bring gifts such as photos and candles for your deceased loved ones. The altar grows over the course of the festival and is filled with memorabilia.

Accompanied by traditional rhythm instruments such as rattles and bells as well as shells, the opening and closing ceremonies take place on each day of the festival to bid farewell to the deceased.
