Arjun Talwar came to Poland many years ago. He works in Warsaw and has learned Polish. He knows the small street where he lives like the back of his hand - it is a microcosm that reflects Polish society in the 21st century. Which also means that although Talwar is part of this microcosm, he still feels like a foreigner. Friends of foreign origin share his experiences - they can work, shop and spend their free time in Warsaw, which has become a multicultural tourist city, but they cannot shake off the feeling of being permanently marginalized.

Talwar picks up the camera for his film essay and begins to explore this microcosm, rapidly switching between places, scenes and seasons. In doing so, he discovers people, places and phenomena that he had previously overlooked. He talks about friends who have failed to integrate and finds people who share his fate. He alternates between observing his immediate surroundings and himself. In the off-screen commentary, he repeatedly poses the question: Do I have to change or does Polish society have to change so that newcomers can naturally become part of the community? [Rainer Mende]
