As part of the Europe Weeks, the district offices of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Neukölln invite you to watch the documentary film to shed light on the consequences of European immigration policy and the role of Germany. Guest: filmmaker Max Ahrens.

The idea for Kein Land für Niemand was born in 2022 from the urgent need of directors Max Ahrens and Maik Lüdemann to counter the growing right-wing extremist tendencies in politics and society. Their personal experiences - including a Mediterranean rescue mission and academic discussions on the subject of flight and migration - led to the decision to create a film that would shake people up, document and motivate them to take action.

What began as a film idea quickly developed into an extraordinary joint project: Sea-Eye, Sea-Watch, United4Rescue, German Doctors, PRO ASYL and the Mennonite Relief Organization joined forces to actively support the independent film project. Together, they are joining forces to send a strong civil society signal against isolationism, indifference and racist narratives with this film. Kein Land für Niemand is therefore not only a documentary film, but also an expression of solidarity-based alliance politics - a cultural counterweight to the political coldness of the present.

The film will be followed by a discussion with filmmaker Max Ahrens.
