On April 24 from 1-6 p.m., Admiralstraße at Kottbusser Tor will become a meeting place for the neighborhood.

As part of the "Berlin tidies up" campaign initiated by rbb 88.8, the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district office is inviting people to a day of urban cleanliness. wirBERLIN is organizing and supporting the day on site.

Look forward to a flea market with second-hand items. There will also be creative upcycling workshops (2-5 p.m.) where crown corks will be turned into jewelry and old banners into new bags.

At 3 pm, district mayor Clara Herrmann will welcome the neighborhood on site. Afterwards, a two-hour guided bike tour will start at 3:30 pm, combining practical activities with impulses on resource conservation and the sustainable use of materials in urban spaces.

On site, you can talk to our environmental ambassadors about waste avoidance, the circular economy and sustainable everyday life and get to know local initiatives. Children between the ages of 6 and 13 can also design creative motifs for this year's poster competition.

Want to get involved yourself? Borrow cleanup equipment on site and collect garbage around Kotti, for example at Admiralbrücke or Urbanhafen.
