Three top-class choirs sing a Christmas concert together:

• Chamber choir of the Collegium Musicum: newly crowned winner of the Chortreff Berlin! Although only very few of the almost 40 singers study music, the ensemble travels to demanding competitions every year and sometimes successfully competes against music academy choirs. The secret of the Collegium Musicum is the cordial cooperation that motivates the detailed work in rehearsals. The result is concerts in which everything is just right - without sheet music and in a mixed formation!
• The chamber choir JEUNESSE Berlin is also characterized by high musical quality. Under the direction of Yannick Wittmann, the 30-strong choir is dedicated to a cappella music from the Renaissance to the modern era. JEUNESSE will touch you with finely sung Christmas pieces such as Vom Himmel hoch or the floating, mystical sounds of Poulenc's Christmas motets. Pieces that combine depth and heartfelt joy.
• The musical diversity is complemented by the University of Pretoria Youth Choir from South Africa. Since its foundation in 2001, the choir has stood for artistic excellence, cultural diversity and youthful expressiveness. 80 young singers between the ages of 14 and 18, united from 34 schools around Tshwane, bring a rich repertoire to the stage - from African folklore and classical works to gospel and pop. Under the direction of Lhente-Mari Pitout, an energetic, infectious joy unfolds that radiates far beyond the stage.

As a joint sign of hope, the three choirs present the South African work "Ngothando" by Mbuso Ndlovu - a moving piece in isiZulu that sings of love, peace and humanity: Let's open our hearts!
