In the organizer's words:

From the very beginning, Galliano was all about sampling and using certain pieces of music as source material, which were put together with great sensitivity and care. This went back to a series of clubs, radio shows, bands and scenes that emerged in the 1980s. In this respect, "nothing has changed".

The band took a break in 1997, and the release of the double album "Halfway Somewhere" in August 2024 marked a return to live performances and recordings, albeit 30 years later...

Galliano released "Unreliable Memories of Contested Conversations" on January 30, 2026 and are currently in the middle of a tour supporting The Brand New Heavies in the UK. A new album and tours in the UK and Europe are planned for fall 2026 as they reassert themselves in the middle of the boogie-funk-jazz axis.

In July, they will be visiting Freiburg's ZMF for the first time and getting in the mood for their upcoming releases with a special concert experience.
