This French-European quartet, initiated by violinist Clément Janinet, brings together outstanding musicians from different countries. With Arve Henriksen from Norway on trumpet, Ambre Vuillermoz from France on accordion and Robert Lucaciu from Germany on double bass, the result is an impressive example of cross-border musical creativity.
As an internationally sought-after artist, including at the International Jazz Platform, Jazzahead and on tours through Scandinavia, Estonia, Hungary, Italy and Germany, Janinet consistently continues the aesthetic lines of his earlier projects such as Ornette Under the Repetitive Skies and La Litanie des Cimes. The new repertoire is deliberately created in dialog with musicians from different cultural contexts.
Violin, trumpet, accordion and double bass enter into an open exchange that transcends genre boundaries. Buxtehude and Dowland meet the Swedish nyckelharpa, Marin Marais meets radical improvisation and microtonal music. Dances and songs from oral traditions merge with contemporary chamber music.

Garden Of Silences makes a polyphonic, modern Europe audible, poetic, courageous and beyond stylistic conventions.
