Good Flying Birds - Berlin @ Neue Zukunft

Good Flying Birds is a jangly-loud guitar pop band from the Midwest USA. The project began in December 2023 with a series of 4-track cassette recordings and stop-motion videos uploaded to YouTube under the name "Talulah God" - accompanied by a chaotic website littered with GIFs. New songs were released regularly over the following months, eventually attracting the attention of influential punk and DIY label boss Martin Meyer.

In January 2025, 'Talulah's Tape' was released on Rotten Apple - a compilation of home recordings from 2020 to 2024, the album showcased a wide-ranging love of independent guitar music, clever songwriting and a charmingly chaotic twee punk aesthetic. The release was immediately well received in the underground scene, played on the radio and sold 300 copies on cassette in less than a month.

The band capitalized on this momentum and quickly gained a reputation as a rousing live band. This aroused great interest from labels - eventually they signed with Carpark and Smoking Room. Together, the labels re-released "Talulah's Tape" in October 2025, this time on vinyl and streaming.
