GrandLux -- secondhand indie rock

In the organizer's words:

After a brief 20-year sabbatical devoted to accumulating wealth and perpetuating the species, the five members of GrandLux finally dusted off their instruments and returned to the rehearsal studios to tackle once again the pop-rock songs that marked their student lives. The name of the band has changed but the concept remains the same: to cover songs that almost nobody knows. Why? That way the audience cannot compare them with the original. Some think they are the band's own compositions, while connoisseurs can shine by showing that they recognized the song.

The playlist has grown with the years and now includes some classics so that no one feels left out. If names like Pavement, Weezer, Belle and Sebastian or The Magnetic Fields ring a bell, then this concert is just what you need for a pleasant nostalgic evening. If these names mean nothing to you, come along anyway. There will be good vibes and, as Andrew Bird once sang: there will be snacks!
