Groupshow CONJUNCTION Vernissage

In the organizer's words:

At the end of April, the Affenfaust Galerie will present the second edition of its CONJUNCTION exhibition format. Following the first edition in 2025, which brought together 32 international positions, the new edition focuses on a deliberately reduced selection of artists.

Instead of a classic group exhibition, the result is an exhibition in which each position is given more space. Visitors move through different artistic worlds that unfold like interconnected solo presentations within the gallery.
A particular highlight is a monumental work by Nico Sawatzki developed especially for the exhibition, consisting of eight canvases with a total length of over 9 meters - the largest work in the artist's oeuvre to date.

Tomislav Topić, who lives and works in Berlin, has recently attracted international attention with large-scale installations - including a work in a church (France) and the monumental installation "INTERVAL" in Dubai (32 × 2 × 7 meters).
Another highlight are the kinetic sculptures by Jakob Grosse-Ophoff, whose videos have been seen and shared millions of times on social media worldwide. As part of the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity for the first time to activate some of the mechanical works themselves and set them in motion.

Other positions in the exhibition include Winnie Seifert, Kristine Mandsberg, Vigdis, Max Weiss and Jirka Pfahl, whose works draw a multi-layered picture of current contemporary art between painting, installation, kinetic sculpture and relief-like paper structures.

CONJUNCTION 2026 thus brings together a total of eight artists and sees itself as an exhibition format that allows visitors to delve deeper into individual artistic positions. The exhibition invites visitors to experience contemporary art as an intense spatial experience.
