Hamburger Bahnhof on Tour: Saâdane Afif: The Old & Melancholic Beat Live

In the organizer's words:

Afif had the first lyrics written in 2004 for the four works in his exhibition "Melancholic Beat" at Museum Folkwang. These four texts will be performed, as will the twelve lyrics written in 2025 for the work complex "The Old". The performance "Melancholic Beat Live" is a work commissioned by Museum Folkwang as part of the exhibition "Saâdane Afif. Affiches / Posters", Museum Folkwang, Essen March 13 to October 4, 2026.

Hamburger Bahnhof on Tour

With the monthly event series "Hamburger Bahnhof On Tour", the museum is placing a special focus on networking with Berlin cultural actors* for its 30th anniversary: from February to July 2026, Hamburger Bahnhof is organizing six concerts and performances in cooperation with Freunde* Guter Musik Berlin e. V., Hamburger Bahnhof is organizing six concerts and performances by Berlin artists Annika Kahrs and Saâdane Afif at the Musical Instrument Museum SIM, Berlin Museum of Medical History, Ev. Heilige-Geist-Kirche, Roter Salon of Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, KM28 and Kantine am Berghain.
