Helge Letonja mit Of Curious Nature: UN-ZEIT/ A Late Summer Night’s Dream

In the organizer's words:

About the event:

Dance
OCN presents two impressive choreographies by Helge Letonja in an evening full of contrasts, in which the artistic range of the ensemble becomes tangible. Alongside the contemporary commentary UN-ZEIT, which hits the heart with full force, the sensuality and longing for encounters of "A late Summer Night's Dream" forms a dream-like antithesis.

About the performers:

Helge Letonja
As artistic director of steptext dance project and the dance company Of Curious Nature, *Helge Letonja* has created more than 60 dance works presented worldwide, often realized in interdisciplinary and transcultural collaborations. He also works internationally as a guest choreographer for renowned opera houses and dance companies. In his works with *Of Curious Nature*, he invests in somatic movement research and thus deepens the artistic forms of expression of his ensemble. With his impressive sensual aesthetics, he addresses social conditions in order to portray the complexity of contemporary man. His repertoire ranges from dynamic, powerful ensemble pieces to subtle symbols. His works can be categorized as magical visual associations in organic stage landscapes through to choreographies that are entirely dedicated to the dialogue between dance and music. Helge Letonja is also a tireless advocate for the interests of dance, both in his adopted home of Bremen and nationwide, as a board member of the Dachverband Tanz.
