We would like to invite you to our autumn festival with creative market on October 26, 2025 from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm in the Hansa Library! Look forward to a colorful day with local artists, live music, a varied children's program, exciting workshops and much more.

In case of bad weather, most of the fall festival will take place in the library.

13:00 - 14:00 | Pumpkin, leprechauns & rattling ghosts
Let's dive into the Irish origins of Halloween together. A Leprechaun (a little leprechaun from Ireland) will take the children on a fun and spooky journey: We play, sing fun songs that invite them to move and slip into the roles of various characters - from jack-o'-lanterns and elves to famous ghosts and leprechauns. How does it feel to be a floating ghost? Or to jump around as a giggling goblin? In short stories, the children get to know various characters from the world of Irish legends - and can playfully portray them themselves. This turns Halloween into a lively, colorful experience full of music, fun and imagination.

13:30 - 16:30 | Face painting for children with Constanze Hacker from Schniekerei

1:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. | Kite-making workshop with the team from kinderevents berlin
In this workshop you can design kites with bright colors, great patterns or original motifs and then fly your work of art on the square in front of the library.

14:00 - 14:30 | Moabiter Küchenchor
What once began as a musical project among friends in a Moabit shared kitchen has developed into a real choir project with many voices and great passion: the Moabit Kitchen Choir. In the meantime, the space between the stove and fridge is no longer enough - the choir, as they call themselves internally, sings the songs that the choir members want together. From 80s Syntie pop songs to German rock from the 00s to Christmas carols and much more, the result is a diverse mix.

2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. | Workshop on making your own beeswax cloths with Dagmar Rehse
We make beeswax cloths from fabric scraps. The result is sustainable packaging.

2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. | Plasticine stamp workshop with Kirsten Höcker and Christiane Keppler
Here you can get to know "plasticine stamping" - a simple and fascinating printing technique. Modeling clay is used to create surfaces and shapes. We will then print these onto paper. We will also design leporellos and cards.

14:00 - 17:00 | Screen printing to join in with Jördis Hirsch
Cotton bags will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own clothes etc. in bright colors.

15:00 - 16:00 | Spooky Tales with Matti & Lilly - scary Halloween stories
Have you ever felt a pleasant, spooky shiver run down your spine? We will enchant the children with exciting spooky stories and fairy tales. Together we immerse ourselves in the world of pumpkin figures, mysterious ghosts, elves and goblins and bring these fascinating characters to life. The children can sit back and listen to the stories as they follow the adventures of the mystical characters. An enchanting journey full of magic, fantasy and goosebumps awaits you!

3:00 pm - 5:00 pm | Five O'Clock Jazz Quartet

16:00 - 16:30 | Juggling workshop
In this stick juggling workshop you will learn basic techniques and develop a sense of balance and movement when handling fire sticks.

17:00 - 17:30 | Fire show on the square in front of the library

Your physical well-being will be taken care of and of course there will also be stick bread & campfire!(from 13:30)
