In the organizer's words:
Ingelore and Gisela Silberbach grew up here in a liberal Jewish home.
Both were inquisitive schoolgirls until anti-Semitism made this impossible.
In November 1938, the Silberbachs fled to the USA.
In front of the villa, Ingelore's daughter Terry talks about her extended family and reads from her cousin Vernin's memoirs.

more than 50 members of her family were murdered by the Nazis, about half of whom
were from Cologne.
The event takes place as part of Denk Mal Am Ort Köln 2026.
