Long Covid, chronic fatigue, atypical depression or a classic burn-out: many people are teetering on the edge of the abyss and can only function with the greatest of efforts. They are no longer able to show their feelings and if they do, they are only feelings of failure. For those around them, the suffering often remains invisible and incomprehensible.
Honeymoon is based on the disturbing experience of a state of exhaustion that has not yet been finally diagnosed and which took the choreographer Sebastian Zuber completely by surprise from his previous life. Between dance performance and digital art, the solo creates intense images and impressions that make the diffuse clinical picture more tangible. In his first solo work, Zuber not only tells of the struggle for hope, but also of human resilience, gratitude and the ability to transform on both a mental and physical level.
