SHELLING // Yasmeen Godder

In the organizer's words:

SHELLING is a solo work based on a physical investigation of inner fragmentation, vulnerability and resilience. The title echoes terms such as shell, but also impact and impact, focusing on the body as a protective shell and as a place shaped by external forces. The piece moves away from narrative and a form of "representation", instead listening to a quiet inner voice that emerges through contradiction, repetition and disruption. Characterized by multi-layered personal stories passed down through generations, which the body carries within itself, the movement unfolds through intuitive impulses, collapses and reconfigurations. Instead of visualizing memories, Yasmeen Godder expresses the body's pent-up tension, its opacity and moments of adaptation. In her solo, an intimate encounter with the body as a living archive unfolds: porous, resilient and constantly realigning itself.
