Why do we need SoliAsyl and other solidarity structures in Bremen?

People in Bremen are fighting for a safe place to sleep every day because the right to housing for refugees is being systematically destroyed. We will discuss refugee struggles, self-organization and solidarity structures in Bremen with activists from various groups and associations. Come, join the discussion, network and get to know us.

Housing means dignity. Housing is necessary. For everyone. And yet people in Bremen (and everywhere else) are struggling every day to find a safe place to sleep - not because there are no solutions, but because the right to housing for refugees is being systematically undermined.

SoliAsyl Bremen is a housing network for people who are threatened by the state's racist deportation policy. We fight for Housing for All - today, tomorrow, everywhere.

On this evening, we have brought together activists from refugee struggles and people from solidarity associations and support structures in Bremen. We will report from our practice, name political grievances and present what counter-power and self-organization already exists in this city.

Among other things, we will address the following questions:
* How is it that refugees are pushed out of the state care system?
* What does it take to turn a roof over one's head into real security?
* Why is access to housing for refugees not a purely logistical issue, but a deeply political one?
* And what struggles are being waged in Bremen - against camp accommodation, redistribution, deportations and structural exclusion?
* What self-organized solidarity support structures exist in Bremen and where do they come from?
