It is cold, Siberian, in the near future food and warmth are scarce in Gotham City. A maltreated dog meets his "savior": a scientist, not unselfishly, lures the animal into his practice. Rejuvenation and optimization of human bodies are the order of the day there. He implants the dog with the pituitary gland and the testicles of a petty criminal pub musician - which makes him "human". However, the new creature is highly susceptible to manipulation and greedily absorbs propaganda and slogans. And the "chorus of solidary, rebellious unauthorized people" is loud. In hybrid beings and mutants, the social pecking order has its new underdogs. But it soon becomes clear that it is not solidarity, but ego-mania alone that rules in the new humans. Sina, the semi-synthetic AI robo-employee, quickly senses this. Violence against others, especially "tomcats", seems to be an ineradicable urge. The mix of everything politically toxic jeopardizes the business model - and the treatment of the haute volee, Robert De Niro, Cher and Big Daddy ...

Since its creation in 1925, Bulgakov's novella has unfolded tremendous explosive power. The young Soviet state was already propagating the "New Man", the first large-scale experiment to optimize the human body and mind, an enterprise that was continued many times over and developed into a global industry.
