The Hoheneck women's prison is a symbol of the inhumanity with which the GDR regime forced political dissidents into silence and deprived them of their freedom.
On the event evenings, music and conversations with contemporary witnesses will open up a space for remembering the suffering of the women imprisoned there. Poems written in prison were set to new music and staged.
On November 7 and 8, 2025, this unique format will be presented at the historical site, the former Stasi headquarters in Berlin, House 22.
On November 8, the Stasi Records Archive is offering a guided tour of the exhibition "Insight into Secrecy" and the grounds from 2:30-4:00 p.m. prior to the play. Registration is possible at einblick-ins-geheime@bundesarchiv.de or 030 18 665-6699.
