In the Mountains Queer and Feminist art festival from the South Caucasus

In The Mountains is a three-day festival of queer and feminist multidisciplinary art from the South Caucasus region, taking place at the Panke Club in Berlin, Wedding.
In The Mountains aims to amplify anti-nationalist, anti-militarist and decolonial narratives while promoting cultural dialog and artistic expression for positive change.
As in previous years, In The Mountains keeps the focus on the challenging and bleak socio-political situation in the South Caucasus. At the intersection of art and activism, the festival creates an inclusive space for community building and socially engaged art practices.

The theme of this year's festival is "Reversed Rivers". In a world characterized by shifting political landscapes and deep uncertainty, In The Mountains emerges as a response to instability - a celebration of resilience, defiance and hope in turbulent times.
Our gathering is a collective refusal to be paralyzed by fear. Through art, performance and shared experience, we create new strategies for justice - ones rooted in solidarity, care and courage. We invite artists, activistsand communities to reflect on what it means to exist when the ground beneath us seems unstable. How do we resist fear without losing our tenderness? How can we transform uncertainty into a force for connection and change?
