Into Darkness is screwball comedy and melodrama, tragedy and romance all rolled into one: a novel as a movie, glamorous and highly political. In ingenious flashbacks, with pace and timing, he negotiates the relationship between literature, film and power in times of staged realities.

Angela Steidele, born in 1968, lives in Cologne.
