Ira B & the Dystopians

Manouche gypsy swing, klezmer and Balkan sounds meet electro house, chanson merges with hip-hop and new German; a string quartet is electronically
A string quartet is electronically alienated, looped, chopped up and modulated, then transformed into danceable electro-pop sounds. Oriental flutes and string instruments melt into modular electronic music, distorted riffs break the sound of familiar harmonies.

Ira B., voice, Franky, keys & toys, Jerker Kluge, bass, Gergely Lukacs, trumpet, Wolfgang Pleyerl, drums, and Andrè Schwager, piano. Most of the exceptional musicians come from jazz, play in other legendary formations or have their own outstanding projects. Ira B. not only sings, she also likes to talk, dance and play, and her roots in musical theater cannot be denied.
Musical ideas, provocative or heartbreaking lyrics fly around the audience's ears, while a steady groove drives into their legs. This is the Dystopian show.
