Isolation Berlin, who have been tirelessly creating their melancholic yet rousing song worlds since their formation in 2012, have now become a permanent institution in the music landscape.

Since the self-dramatization of the individual was declared the ultimate, bands have gone out of fashion. However, the band Isolation Berlin are certainly indifferent to the zeitgeist. Instead, they create their own genre and aptly call it proto-pop.

Tobias Bamborschke's vocals are haunting, melancholic, sometimes nihilistic. The band's spectrum ranges from post-punk, pop and rock to chanson. But much more important is the special mixture of suffering, anger and humor in Isolation Berlin's music, which unfolds its irresistible charm especially live.
