In the organizer's words:

"Big Baby, Big Bunda, I have many names" claims JACE, known to some under the synonym Jacek, on his collabo album 9 Leben with Dexter, released in February 2024. Awarded the Hamburg Krach&Getoese prize for newcomers in 2017, the rapper can now look back on four albums, three EPs, two mixtapes, various club shows, support slots, festival appearances (Splash!, Heroes, Dockville, SüdSüd, Tapefabrik and many more) and two tours of his own.

On features with Haiyti, OG Keemo, Lugatti & 9ine or Kwam.E, among others, JACE has proven that he shaves and loves state of the art instrumentals, that he can open the circle, make heads nod and get unintentional laughs out of the serious faces in the back row.

It's about observations, images and jokes that never immediately reveal themselves as such. Lines that surprise, sneak up on you and only then click. In 2023, the GEMA author prize in the "Text Hip-Hop" category will even be awarded for this. If you're looking for a clown, a sex symbol or an animator, you won't find them with JACE, but it comes across as if he was in a class with all three.

The project "That wouldn't have been necessary" with Richard Milli was released in March of this year. The promo phase turned into a maximum internet presence - whether with viral Insta freestyles during the Advent season from which the mixtape "Free Game" was released in June or as one of the few German-speaking artists in the renowned US format "On The Radar" in New York: JACE is currently shaking up the scene with a twinkle in his eye and has a new form of credibility in the digital age.
