The Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie is celebrating a special anniversary:

The TWENTY-FIRST YEAR graduates next fall and invites you to its retrospective at Cank in Neukölln. 25 graduation works show the entire spectrum of documentary, artistic and photojournalistic positions - personal, political, poetic. Their works move between self-questioning and observation of the world, between myth and reality. They tell of images of masculinity in Eastern Europe, of transgenerational traumas, dream worlds and of black perspectives in the GDR and of the potato.

They document, question, research and experiment. The themes range from north-east Syria to the Caribbean, from Berlin living rooms to post-socialist archives.

Exhibiting are:

Julian Adomako, Carl Bühring, Johanna Bürger, Lina Czerny, Johanna Maria Dietz, Lenny Erwin, Fee, Mia Flambard, Matthias Frank, Nico Fritzenschaft, Simone Nathalie Fuchs, Robin Genz, Lea Greub, Lucas Kontny, Nora Martin, Sophie Nawova Meyer, Neža Peterle, Henri Schade, Ilona Scherer, Jared Strelow, Sarah Jade Sullivan, Valentina Troendle, Ida Weber, Theresa Wißmann, Sarah Zellmann.

Irina Ruppert, Göran Gnaudschun and Ludwig Rauch accompanied the students of the Ostkreuzschule with a critical eye and artistic flair on the way to their final photographic works. The exhibition is accompanied by a diverse supporting program: Guided tours, discussions and portfolio reviews offer space for exchange and encounters.

Just two months after the exhibition of the year NINETEEN, the Ostkreuzschule is now showing the final works of the year TWENTY , returning to the usual rhythm with an annual final exhibition in the fall after postponements due to the pandemic.
