james K reinvents herself. Composed of bones, reactive metals and a larynx, with freckled eyes catalyzing this mixture - she can now see through all masks. That is the truth. When she chews gum, it's not clear which of her personalities is doing it. Since their first release in 2013, it's been troublesome to separate them - they swap roles, cosplay each other and would probably lull you into a lonely dream. Together they have mastered production, sound, film and editing. This is how they perform, in clubs and theaters, alongside composers and children alike, as performers and DJs. Their music creates temporary havens for unyielding texts - and these are constantly changing.

While many DJs explore genres and sound spectrums with a sense of adventure, few are as versatile and unique as CCL. With a precise technical yet astoundingly creative approach to mixing and an insatiable hunger for music of all kinds, CCL unites the unimaginable. As a DIY festival organizer and record collector, shaped by experiences in Bristol, Seattle's DIY scene and the American Midwest, CCL shows a particular affinity for fluidity and liminality - weaving music into striking narratives that open wormholes between all genres and tempos.
