james K
james K reinvents herself. Composed of bones, reactive metals and a larynx, with freckled eyes catalyzing this mixture - she can now see through all masks. That is the truth. When she chews gum, it's not clear which of her personalities is doing it. Since their first release in 2013, it's been troublesome to separate them - they swap roles, cosplay each other and would probably lull you into a lonely dream. Together they have mastered production, sound, film and editing. This is how they perform, in clubs and theaters, alongside composers and children alike, as performers and DJs.

She has played at festivals and venues such as Dekmantel, Sustain Release, Mutek, iii Points and Nowadays. In recent years she has shared the stage with James Ferraro, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Yves Tumor, Morton Subotnick, Nick León and Priori to name but a few.

She has released on labels such as AD 93, Incienso, PAN, iDEAL, Dial, UNO and founded her own label She Rocks! in 2015. Her collaboration with Hoodie, a 10" record called Scorpio, was released in summer 2023 via AD 93.

K has been a resident at NTS since 2019 with her show Trip Lick and has provided mixes for series such as Dekmantel, Crack and Fact. She is known for her magnetic vocals, lyricism and distinctive production - and collaborations have resulted in widely acclaimed music with artists such as Moin, Fergus Jones & Huerco S., Priori, Special Guest DJ, Yves Tumor, Drew McDowall, LEYA and many more.

Their music creates temporary havens for unyielding lyrics - and these are constantly changing. You can explore them here: [917 908-1173]. This is just one part of her detailed world. A world that she leaves - and then creates anew.
