Jamila & The Other Heroes

[Jamila & The Other Heroes is a Berlin-based band 'from manywhere', blending psychedelic desert rock with a message of collective liberation.

Founded by Jamila Al-Yousef - born in East Berlin on the day the Wall fell and shaped by her Palestinian heritage - the band channels revolutionary energy and diasporic stories into songs of liberation, empowerment, and healing.
Singing in Arabic and English, Jamila & The Other Heroes invite audiences into a vibrant soundscape of psychedelic grooves, desert rock energy, and deep emotional resonance. Their concerts are wild, tender, and deeply political rituals of unity and defiance.

After two acclaimed albums, Sit el Kon (2020) and Bazaar Bizarre (2023), the new EP Hijarna (Our Stones) will be released in spring 2026.

A musical journey through time into the world of Greek songs from the day before yesterday to today. Container "Open Project Band" wants to discover and present the great world of Greek songs. This new project consists of well-known musicians from the Greek music scene in Munich:
