Jazz im Bunker / A Tribute to the Adderley Brothers!

They were probably the most famous pair of brothers in jazz history and their music hit the jazz world of the fifties and sixties like a cannonball. After the bebop revolution, Julian "Cannonball" and Nat Adderley took up the blues and gospel traditions again and were one of the first jazz bands to weave soul and funk rhythms into their music. The Adderley Band was absolutely groundbreaking in jazz for a long time and always made direct contact with the audience with their effervescent, vital playing!

The wonderful quintet around saxophonist Magnus Mehl and trumpeter Ralf Hesse revives the two legendary musicians once again with this concert evening.

An Adderley tribute with an individual touch and full of explosive, swinging energy!
