John Moods

This tour is a special celebration of the deep friendship and musical connection between Magnus and John. It also serves as a beautiful warm-up ahead of a wave of new music set to be released later this year and into the next. Expect brand new, unreleased material alongside reworked and stripped-down versions of existing songs-including pieces from The Zenmenn.

John Moods creates outsider pop songs that shoot like arrows straight to the heart. His colorful arrangements highlight his distinctive voice and intuitive melodies, while his lyrics explore themes of death, the divine, and life's deeper mysteries.
Growing up on the outskirts of West Berlin, Moods began playing guitar at a young age and was already writing songs and performing in bands by 13. In 2012, he co-founded the art rock band Fenster. After releasing four records with the band, he stepped into his solo career in 2018 with The Essential John Moods (Mansions and Millions), followed by So Sweet So Nice (2021), which included the poetry collection Sounds of a Clown in collaboration with Arbutus Records. His latest solo album, The Great Design, arrived in 2022.

He has also released notable collaborative works, including Hidden Gem (2022) with The Zenmenn and a 2024 release with Young Marco under the moniker Dead Sound-both via Music From Memory.

Moods has toured extensively across Europe, sharing stages with artists such as Sean Nicholas Savage, Black Marble, Jonathan Bree, Homeshake, Porches, The Zenmenn, and Devendra Banhart.

Recently, he relocated from Berlin to Los Angeles.
