On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Joscho Stephan will be back at the Kulturhaus Schwanen Waiblingen with his Transatlantic Guitar Trio. Having already wowed audiences with his trio in 2025, three distinguished guitarists from Germany, Great Britain and the USA will now be coming together on the Schwanen stage: Gypsy jazz virtuoso Joscho Stephan, fingerstyle specialist Richard Smith and multi-instrumentalist Rory Hoffman.
Audiences and critics alike are thrilled by the variety of styles and techniques that the musicians present together in this extraordinary line-up.

When three such different musical styles come together, it makes for a very special musical conversation. This is precisely the strength of this trio. Joscho Stephan brings the language of gypsy jazz, Richard Smith his virtuosity deeply rooted in fingerstyle, Rory Hoffman expands the sound with his musical openness and rhythmic agility.
The way they combine jazz ballads, gypsy swing standards, a pinch of pop music and groovy original compositions into a new whole is unique.
Sometimes the three guitars drive each other on, sometimes they let the pieces breathe and rest. It is precisely this interplay that makes the evening so appealing: technical class that never becomes an end in itself, but always serves the common sound.

The sheer inexhaustible repertoire of the "Transatlantic Guitar Trio" and the newly arranged songs by great role models such as Django Reinhardt, Chet Atkins and Jerry Reed make the live concerts of the three star guitarists an incomparable experience.
