The visionary pop project Kadebostany is going on a world tour with a new live show in 2026 and is coming to the Gretchen on March 9, 2026.
Located somewhere between monumentalism and fragility, composer and producer Guillaume de Kadebostany, who as "President Kadebostan" is also the charismatic leader of the fictional Republic of Kadebostany, has created his own pop music and visual identity, which he himself describes as "sophisticated music with mass appeal".
Since its foundation in 2008, Kadebostany has been moving within the narrative framework of its small European republic, combining post-punk, soul, global pop, marching rhythms and electronic soundscapes with orchestral elements. Elaborately designed uniforms, symbolic rituals and retro-futuristic choreographies turn the live shows into genuine total works of art in which sound and imagery merge into a single entity. Guillaume de Kadebostany not only writes and produces all the songs, but also develops the visual concept.
