Katapult Kabaret: Homegrown Circus

Dear Berlin circus enthusiasts,

We cordially invite you to our famous contemporary catapult cabaret - this time under the title "Homegrown Circus".
An evening that shows what is growing and thriving in our own Berlin scene!

Five extraordinary performers (Rebecca Dirler, Kerstin Oschabnig, Carolin Liesegang, Luana Yázigi, Büsra Kayaalp) and a charming host, David Cassel, await you on stage. All the artists live in Berlin - for a few of them, Katapult acts as their home base.
Many of you may know Luana and Kerstin more from the background, where they keep the organization wheel running - as part of "Homegrown Circus" they present their brand new acts!

• 19:00-20:00 - Aerial Silks taster workshop for adults with Sarah & Elena (STUDIO 2)
  
  This taster workshop is aimed at people who have always wanted to try aerial silks. There are no prerequisites, except the desire to try something new. Please register via e-mail: events@katapult.berlin
  Participation for a voluntary donation - 100% of the donations go to the trainers.

Sunday: 16.10.

• 11:30-13:00 - Team presentation & impulse lecture Act One - with the topic "How could a resilient circus scene position itself in times of crisis? STUDIO 1
• 13:00-14:00 SNACK & CHAT STUDIO 1
• 14:00-16:00 Talks/presentations - Discrimination and power distribution in the circus scene - Feminist Circus Initiative STUDIO 1
• 16:00-17:00 - Flying Dance - Adults Try-Out STUDIO 2
• 17:05-18:00 - Flying Dance - Kids & Teens Try-Out STUDIO 2

All program points are open to circus professionals and anyone interested in circus. Katapult will provide coffee and snacks for the network meeting and we look forward to seeing many actors from the Berlin circus scene. It is not necessary to register in advance for the discussion rounds and the networking event.

After all the talking and brainstorming, we invite everyone to get physically active and try out Flying Dance with Iris & Karla from Flying Dance Education.
If you would like to take part, please send an e-mail to events@katapult.berlin. Spontaneous participation is also possible, but there are only 14 places available. We would therefore be pleased if you could send us a short message in advance. Participation in this taster session is donation-based. All donations go to the trainers.
