This workshop is all about the successful design of ceramic surfaces. Using illustrative examples, you will learn about various glazing techniques, including brushing, dipping and dabbing. You will learn how factors such as application, material and technique affect the final result. We will also look at underglazes and the overglaze technique. In the practical part, you will glaze your own fired pieces - these can either be brought along or purchased on site at a small price. After the workshop, you will be able to use glazes consciously and design ceramic surfaces in a targeted manner. Previous experience is helpful, but not essential. Please bring some small change for the firing costs.
