Konzert – Me & Mithu – Record Release „Stories“

Mithu Sanyal is not only a journalist, cultural scientist and author of the highly acclaimed books "Vulva" and "Identitti". She is also a musician. She has already performed several times at the FFT together with Matti Rouse (Monkeys With Tools, Heavy Gummies, Black Airoplanes), most recently as part of their performance "Hello Good-Bye" 2023. Now the two are releasing their first album as the duo Me & Mithu. We are delighted to celebrate the release of Stories with a live concert at the FFT!

Me & Mithu describe their musical style as gothic folk and locate it sonically in poetic Albion, as Great Britain was called before the arrival of the Roman Empire. A tenor guitar from Redwood, two voices, a soft but full bass stompbox and an eternal organ sound - with Me & Mithu, Albion sounds like Americana, only older. A bit magical, with a pulse of dark, warm depths.
