Workshop – Künstlerische Deradikalisierungsstrategien auf Social Media – onlinetheater.live

In the organizer's words:

For the group onlinetheater.live, social media platforms are the biggest theater of the present. Why are right-wing extremists, anti-feminists and masculinists so influential on these platforms? And what can we do to counter them?

This workshop is about target groups, language, video aesthetics and storytelling. As an example, the participants will hack into the "manosphere" on TikTok, a misogynistic bubble in which men teach each other to "swallow" their feelings. With little effort, they create content that teaches the same target groups to be mindful of their own feelings and encourages them to think and act.

As part of their production MYKE - Hacking the Manosphere, the group onlinetheater.live created a campaign on TikTok over three months that follows this strategy. The artists want to share their experiences and ideas, improve them, discuss them and encourage imitation.
